Within St Mawes and its immediate vicinity, there are many landmarks that should be visited by one and all. These include St Mawes Castle (circa. Henry VIII), the beautiful Lamorran Gardens and the parish church at St Just in Roseland. The most delightful way to reach this beautiful church is to stroll around the head of the peninsula, along the coastal path. You could go by car but then you would miss all the best bits! This particular short coastal stroll requires a camera to capture scenery that is hard to describe in words.
This part of Cornwall is ideal for those with - or without - sea legs. There really is no need to use the car when there are so many enjoyable days out to be had on foot and water - especially when bolstered with a delicious picnic lunch, supplied by the hotel or the promise of a gastro pub feast along the way.
