Following last year's hugely popular Classics menu, our chefs have been hard at work again, using the best local ingredients to create some real delights for the cold winter months. Food that will be utterly delicious and comforting, all at the same time. To get your tastebuds tingling, you'll be offered glorious casseroles, mouthwatering pastry topped pies, the fluffiest steamed puddings with sticky sauces and lots more - and all to our award-winning standard.

After checking in and unpacking, come down to our Lounge, where we'll treat you to a delicious hot chocolate, whilst you take in our unbeatable views of St Mawes's delightful harbour. Each night, indulge in your choice from our special 'Classics' dishes before heading up to bed where you'll sleep soundly, before rising the next morning for a full Cornish breakfast.

Make the most of The Idle Rocks' idyllic location, perched on the harbour wall in the pretty village of St Mawes. Sleep soundly by the sea and indulge in slap-up Cornish breakfasts and delicious dinners in the award-winning Waters' Edge Restaurant.

Stroll through the heritage gardens of Caerhays Castle, famed for plants brought back to the estate from the Himalayan and Chinese forests by Victorian and Edwardian explorers. Stunning Magnolia trees (the estate holds the National Magnolia Collection), Rhododenrons and banks of spring flowers jostle side-by-side and the gardens overlook a beautiful lake and the sea.

If you're looking to fine tune your culinary skills or just add to your gourmet repertoire, then take time out for a stay at the Idle Rocks whilst picking up some tips from our award-winning Head Chef, Steve Marsh, and his brigade of talented chefs.

This is a really flexible offer as it is valid throughout the year and can be held for groups of 2 to 8 people. Here's how it works!

1. Book a two night stay with us (this can be taken on a Bed & Breakfast basis or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis)

2. Add a £50 Cookery Voucher per person

Cookery Vouchers include 3 sessions with one of our top chefs. Sessions will include a dish using locally caught seafood and seasonal vegetables, learning how to make authentic Cornish scones (the foundation for the famous Cornish cream tea!) and bread making.

You can also purchase our Cookery Vouchers as a gift and then add it to any of our other accommodation packages if you prefer.
